Buyers – Company Representatives Only

Who can join

Buyer participation is open to tour operators, travel agents, OTAs, distribution channels and MICE professionalswho are looking for new products and destinations and initiate or approve travel-related purchasing decisions.

Participation is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs in Helsinki are at the participant’s own expense, unless part of a Hosted Buyer Programme. Hosted Buyer Programmes are by invitation only and managed by Visit Finland, Helsinki Partners and Finnair.

Registration & Validation

• All registrations are subject to the organizer’s approval.

• Once your profile is validated, you will receive a confirmation email titled “Profile validated.”

• After validation, you can add colleagues under the same company profile.

• The final day to enter profiles is 15 January 2027.

Your Matka Workshop Day 2027 buyer badge also gives you free access to Matka Travel Fair 2027 on all event days, 21–24 January.

All profiles are checked before they are published in the participant catalogue. If any important information is missing, we will contact you.

Once your profile has been validated, you will receive an email titled “Profile validated.”

If you do not receive the confirmation email within a few hours of registering on a working day, please also check your Junk/Spam folder.

Please note: Due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, participants from Russia are currently not accepted at Matka Travel Fair or Matka Workshop Day.

Did you participate in Matka Workshop Day 2026?

Request your personal profile-restore link from Mr. Mikko Kankaala (ext-mikko.kankaala@messukeskus.com).
If several participants were listed under your company profile at the previous event, only the admin profile can be restored. Additional colleagues can then be added easily by sharing the new registration link from your profile.

Travelling from outside the Schengen area?

Visa processing can take up to 8 weeks. We strongly recommend registering early and allowing enough time for the visa process to avoid cancellations due to visa delays.

Suppliers

Once your participation in Matka Workshop Day has been confirmed by our Sales Manager, you will receive a link to your personal profile within a few days.

Supplier participation in Matka Workshop Day is subject to confirmed exhibitor status at Matka 2027.

Supplier badge

Your Matka Workshop Day 2027 Supplier badge is valid only on Workshop Day, 20 January 2027.

To access Matka Travel Fair on 21–24 January 2027, you will also need a valid exhibitor pass, more info: eMessukeskus.

Media

Matka Workshop Day is primarily a travel trade event, but we also welcome media representatives from relevant markets covering the travel or finance sectors.

Media representatives are welcome to observe Matka Workshop Day and request meetings. Please note, however, that most participants prioritize meetings with buyers and suppliers and may therefore not always be available to meet with media representatives.

If you are unable to attend Matka Workshop Day, please inform Mr Mikko Kankaala as soon as possible.

In case of a no-show, you will not be eligible to apply for participation in future Matka Workshop Days.
